A £4.6 million business space has celebrated a year running in Broxbourne.
It is hoped the Ambition Broxbourne Business Centre will create 300 jobs, support 120 businesses, inject £20 million into the local economy and is designed with start-ups in mind.
The centre is ahead of initial forecasts for occupancy, with more than 50 per cent of office spaces now used by businesses.
Broxbourne MP Charles Walker was joined by Jake Berry MP, minister for The Northern Powerhouse and Local Growth, at the celebrations.
Mr Walker said: “It’s fantastic to be promoting this wonderful business centre in Broxbourne and it’s fantastic to have the minister of economic development here.
“It’s a great occasion, we have had lots of businesses. The centre is nearly 60 per cent full with more businesses looking around all the time and expressing interest.
“So things are looking good in Broxbourne – hooray.”
The centre, funded by Broxbourne Council and the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Centre, provides 20,000 square feet of serviced business space and includes on-site management, serviced meeting rooms, high-speed internet access, free parking and round-the-clock business support.
Offices are open to businesses and Basepoint Business Centres Ltd is operating the facility on behalf of the council.
Businesses interested in office space should call Basepoint on (01992) 877310.
